Bahrain to Riyadh: if a car change is needed, here’s how it works.

We always try to keep you in one car from Bahrain to Riyadh. While demand on this route is very high, a quick car change on the Al Khobar highway may sometimes be needed. If it is, the second car is already waiting, the chauffeurs move your luggage, and you simply change seats.

How your trip runs, step by step

It feels like a normal chauffeur trip. If a car change is needed, it is a short, planned stop on the Saudi side of the causeway.

Why a car change is sometimes needed

Bookings between Bahrain and Riyadh are much higher than usual. We assign one car for the whole journey wherever we can. When availability on a date is tight, a planned car change after the causeway lets us still pick you up on time.

Our Saudi partners have the cars and chauffeurs for the long highway drive, but their cars are not permitted to operate inside Bahrain. So when a change is needed, we split the trip where the two meet.

      Bahrain car

Covers Bahrain and King Fahd Causeway, up to the Al Khobar highway.

      Saudi partner car

Covers the Al Khobar highway to Riyadh. GMC Yukon, Chevrolet Tahoe or similar.

This is temporary. We'll return to single-car trips as soon as demand on the route settles.

      What we take care of

If a handover is needed, it is planned before you set off, so the car change takes a few minutes, not an afternoon.

Your next car is already there

We time both cars so the second one reaches the transfer point first. You won't stand on the roadside waiting.

      Chauffeurs move your luggage

Suitcases, carry-ons and strollers are moved across for you, straight from one boot to the other.

      Both chauffeurs stay connected

They share live location for the whole drive, so the handover point and timing are coordinated, not guessed.

      One booking with ABC Limousine

You book once, with one reference number and one fare. There's nothing separate to arrange with the second chauffeur.

      Common questions

      Will I definitely change cars?
Not necessarily. We always try to assign one car for the whole journey. A car change is only arranged when availability on your date is tight, and we will let you know as soon as it is confirmed. If you prefer the same car guaranteed for the whole trip, ask us about our reserved single-car option.
How long does the car change take?
A few minutes. The second car is already parked at the transfer point when you arrive, and the chauffeurs move the luggage while you change seats.
Do I carry my own bags?
No. Both chauffeurs handle the luggage. You only need to step from one car to the other.
What car do I get in Saudi Arabia?
A luxury SUV such as a GMC Yukon or Chevrolet Tahoe, or similar, with a professional chauffeur from our Saudi partner.
Where exactly is the transfer point?
On the Al Khobar highway, on the Saudi side of King Fahd Causeway. Going to Riyadh it comes just after the causeway; coming to Bahrain it comes just before it.
Does it work the same from Riyadh to Bahrain?
Yes, in reverse. Your Saudi chauffeur collects you in Riyadh, and your Bahrain car is waiting on the Al Khobar highway to take you across the causeway.
Do I pay the second chauffeur separately?
No. It's one booking with ABC Limousine and one fare. We confirm the payment details with you when you book.
      Is this permanent?
No. It runs only while demand on this route is high. Direct single-car trips return once things settle.
